Using its crowdsourcing metrics, already familiar from our mobile network tests, umlaut can also evaluate fixed-line connections. Starting in 2022, umlaut and connect have gained momentum in using this approach for conducting fixed-line network tests in a growing number of countries.
scoring principles
The grades awarded in all of our network tests are based on this mapping of the achieved score points:
950 – 1000 Points outstanding
850 – 949 Points very good
750 – 849 Points good
650 – 749 Points satisfactory
500 – 649 Points sufficient
350 – 499 Points insufficient
0 – 349 Points inadequate
